Licences and source code
Last updated: October 16, 2026
The Headmaster desktop app includes the open-source programs listed below. Each one stays under its own licence. Nothing in our Terms of Service limits the rights those licences give you, including the right to copy, change and share those programs and to study their source code.
The full list of other open-source packages in the app, with their licences, ships with every installation in the file THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt in the app's resources folder.

Written offer for source code
Git for Windows and FFmpeg are distributed under the GNU General Public License, and parts of them under the GNU Lesser General Public License. For at least three years after we last distribute a given version of the Headmaster desktop app, GCAP Labs will give anyone who receives it the complete corresponding source code for those programs, for that version.
To request it, email legal@gcaplabs.com or use our contact page, and tell us the app version you have. We will send a download link at no charge, or a copy on a physical medium for no more than our cost of making and shipping it.
The source for the exact versions we ship is also published by each project at the "Source code" links above.
